Cattlemen’s Steak House in Fort Worth Stockyards to get $3M renovation: What we know
A Stockyards steakhouse that has been a Fort Worth staple for over 75 years is receiving nearly $3 million in renovations this fall.
Cattlemen’s Steak House will begin construction in October at the restaurant at 2458 N. Main St., according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The estimated completion date is October 2024.
The renovations are listed as an interior remodel, a new outdoor patio and construction of an elevator and chair lift. The estimated cost for the project is $2,972,500, according to the filing.
Cattlemen’s opened its doors in the Stockyards in 1947 and has been serving up beef cuts ever since, including a 24-ounce porterhouse steak.
There were signs last fall that the restaurant had changed hands. An investment partner with the “Yellowstone” series production company filed for a liquor license at Cattlemen’s. Dan Schryer, listed on the application as the sole manager of the business, was one of several financiers to partner with David Glasser, the CEO of 101 Studios Co., on the launch of the global entertainment studio 101 Studios back in 2019.
The Star-Telegram reached out to Cattlemen’s Steak House for additional comment on the renovations but has not heard back at time of publication.
