Caucus locations listed for Mahaska, Marion counties

Jan. 11—Iowa Caucus-goers will be braving cold temperatures Monday night as they make their voices heard in the nation's first contest for the 2024 presidential election.

The National Weather Service forecasts a high of -1 degree Fahrenheit on Monday. Conditions, their report says, will be partly sunny and cold.

Mahaska County Republicans can find their precinct caucus sites at the following locations:

— Adams, Lincoln, Monroe, Spring Creek Keomah Village and University Park precincts will caucus at G&S Construction, 2442 25th St., Oskaloosa.

— Black Oak, Richland, Scott, Leighton and Pella precincts will caucus at Leighton Christian Reformed Church, 415 Reid St. Leighton.

— Cedar, Harrison, White Oak, Eddyville and Rose Hill precincts will caucus at the Fremont Community Center, 107 E. Main St. Fremont

— E-W Des Moines, Garfield, Jefferson and Beacon precincts will caucus at Omega Church, 203 Hope St. Oskaloosa. (Old Nazarene Gym: S 11th to 1st Ave. E, to Hope St.)

— Madison, Pleasant Grove, Prairie, Union Barnes City and New Sharon precincts will caucus at Lighthouse Church, 206 S Park Ave., New Sharon.

— Oskaloosa's 1st and 2nd Wards will caucus at Jubilee Family Church, 401 S D St., Oskaloosa.

— Oskaloosa's 3rd Ward will caucus at Assembly of God Church, 716 S 17th St., Oskaloosa.

— Oskaloosa's 4th Ward will caucus at AEA Extension Building, 212 N. I St., Oskaloosa.

Mahaska County Democrats will all be caucusing at the Oskaloosa High School Cafeteria.

Marion County Republicans can find their precinct caucus sites at the following locations:

— Clay Township, Dallas Franklin, Indiana, Knoxville City Wards 1-4, Knoxville Township, LIberty, Pleasantville, Union and Washington precincts will caucus at Knoxville High school.

— Lake Prairie, Otley, and Pella City Wards 1-4 will caucus at Pella High School.

Marion County Democrats can find their precinct caucus sites at the following locations:

— Knoxville Wards 1-4, Knoxville Township, Dallas, Franklin, Indiana, Libert, Pleasantville, Union and Washington will caucus at Knoxville Public Library, 213 E Montgomery St., Knoxville.

— Pella Wards 1-4, Lake Prairie, Otley and Clay precincts will caucus at Central College Maytag Building, 421 Broadway St., Pella.

Caucus meetings will begin at 7 p.m.
