CB Antonio Hamilton’s contract worth a max of $2 million

The Arizona Cardinals agreed to a one-year deal for cornerback Antonio Hamilton to return for a third season. The deal is not for much, although he gets a raise over last season and make almost double last year’s deal.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Hamilton’s deal is worth as much as $2 million.

He receives $335,000 in a signing bonus and a total of $1.5 million guaranteed. That would be the league minimum of $1.165 million in salary plus the signing bonus.

He can make up to another $500,000 in incentives for playing time.

His fully guaranteed salary all but ensures he will be on the roster.

He is a stud on special teams and showed that he could be a starting corner.

As of now, he is projected to start with Marco Wilson. We will see if the Cardinals add anyone else in free agency to the room.
