CBS confirms if Alan Cumming's Instinct is returning for season 3
It's a sad day indeed for fans of Alan Cumming and his groundbreaking character Dylan Reinhart, as Instinct creator Michael Rauch has confirmed the show's cancellation.
This unfortunate news comes towards the tail-end of Instinct's second season on CBS, which will officially air the show's finale on August 25 in the US.
As to what this means for ex-CIA operative Dylan's storyline is anyone's guess right now – will Instinct conclude in an abrupt fashion?

Announcing the show's axing via Twitter, Rauch wrote to fans: "I'm very sad to relay the news that @instinctcbs won't be renewed for a 3rd season. We will double up this Sunday and our season/series finale will be Aug 25. Endless thanks to @Alancumming & @bojnovak for making Dylan & Lizzie more everything than I could have ever hoped 1/2.

Cumming's co-star Bojana Novakovic didn't take the news too well (understandably), retweeting Rauch's message with the addition of: "WELL THIS SUCKS BALLS. But when one door closes another... actually f**k that. This sucks balls. Love to all our fans and the most incredible cast and crew.

Instinct airs on Sky Witness and NOW TV in the UK and on CBS and CBS All Access in the US.
