CBS Sports’ top NFL broadcast crew was in Kansas City in November to call what turned out to be a playoff preview: the Jaguars at Chiefs.

For Tracy Wolfson, leaving Kansas City wasn’t a pleasant experience that day.

Wolfson, the network’s top sports reporter, worked up an appetite and wanted to get a bite to eat at the airport before flying. Instead she found options to be lacking at KCI and ordered pizza delivered to her.

With the NCAA Tournament men’s Midwest Regional games being played at the T-Mobile Center this weekend, Wolfson is back in Kansas City. That meant she got to see the new terminal and its many restaurants.

“Wow! Blown away by the new airport in KC. Great job,” she wrote on Twitter. “No more pizza delivery needed! They have everything you can ask for. Will make football travel so much better!”

At the T-Mobile Center, Wolfson talked with Fox 4 sports anchor Harold Kuntz about the airport.

“I walked off the plane late last night and certainly nothing was open because it was so late, but wow, oh my god, what a transition from what it was before to where it is now,” Wolfson told Kuntz. “So excited to come back, knowing I’m going to have at least five, six games here because of the Chiefs.

“Looking forward to it. No more ordering pizza. It’s all about the new Kansas City airport. Really, a tremendous job.”

That’s a big endorsement of the new terminal, which opened on Feb. 28.
