Cincinnati Bengals center Ted Karras is fighting through significant pain in his right knee, according to a report from sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson during the second quarter of CBS' broadcast of Sunday's divisional-round playoff showdown against the Bills in Buffalo.
"Ted Karras right now (is) really struggling," Wolfson said on the air. "He hurt that right knee on the last drive. They put a brace on it. He was trying to do some lateral movement on the side. He's definitely wincing in pain. He's fighting through it. But it is evident it's bothering him."
More from The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway via Twitter after the game:
Ted Karras told me he was dealing with a knee injury during the game, specifically in the second quarter, but was able to tough it out. They’ll take a look at it tomorrow but he has no doubt about his availability to be able to play against the Chiefs.
Tough as nails. #Bengals— Kelsey Conway (@KelseyLConway) January 22, 2023
The Bengals already are without starting offensive linemen Jonah Williams, Alex Cappa and La'el Collins.
Former Bengals great Andrew Whitworth shared praise of Cincinnati's backup offensive linemen - specifically Jackson Carman and Hakeem Adeniji - with a first-quarter tweet.
