CRAIG SETZER: A beautiful day today, beautiful evening underway. Here's our Key's Camera this evening. That's looking nice, huh? There's one of our sunset sailboats going out. Going to be a nice sunset. A little bit of high clouds out there that's going to help enhance our sunset tonight.
74 in Miami. 74 Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood. 76 in Key West. Stickiness scale still a zero. The air very dry, humidity only 57%. East wind at 13. And of course, no rainfall.
Highs today, everybody, in the upper 70s to the low 80s. And we're very, very slowly eking our way up a little bit warmer, but it's not until we get to the weekend that temperatures are really going to warm up and also we get a little bit more humid.
Current temperatures right now, mid-70s, looking good, across South Florida. The breeze out of the east to east-northeast anywhere from 10 to 15 miles an hour. In the coming days that breeze is going to turn more to a southeasterly direction, blowing from the southeast, and eventually a south and southwest direction. That's when we're going to start to see warmer temperatures and more humidity, but that's not until late in the week and over the weekend.
Through the day today, just some fair weather clouds blowing around. Some high clouds, you can see them there skimming along. Other than that, looking good state wide. Lows tonight again in the 60s along the southeast coast and some 50s inland.
Tomorrow under a good deal of sunshine, temperatures upper 70s to the low 80s. Tomorrow night, once again, 60s in South Florida and some 50s well inland. And even on Thursday, temperatures not much warmer, mainly in the low possibly mid-80s, but then the warm up starts to pick up a little bit of steam into the weekend.
Temperatures across the country; in the middle of the nation it's warmed up very, very nicely. Eventually that warm air is going to try to get into the Northeast.
For us tonight, a pleasant night. Cool streams. In the low upper 50s to the mid 60s. Tomorrow, a good deal of sunshine, once again, nice and dry. High temperature near the low 80s, for the most part, and maybe a degree or two cooler along the coast. East winds at 10 on the water. Seas running two feet or less. A light chop on the Bays.
Taking us through the rest of the week; very, very slow warm up through Friday and then temperatures come up even more Saturday and Sunday. Humidity as well. And that's when our rain chances also go up, especially by early next week. Back to you.
