- Now, CBS4 Weather with meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.

LISSETTE GONZALEZ: Happy Thursday, Friday Eve. And as we look live from our Rusty Pelican camera, we are seeing a very calm and quiet morning, and also the case from our Key West camera.

Thanks to our weather watcher, Sandra K Booth, for sending in this gorgeous view of that crescent moon here from Lauderdale by the Sea. And the moon setting as well here in Parkland. And we see this view courtesy of Frank Wendeln. So we appreciate those photos, keep them coming.

Radar and satellite, nice and dry. You don't need the umbrella, just like the past few days. High pressure is still hanging on and providing now for more of a southeast breeze. And that is bringing us some changes already as of this morning. Not as chilly for some parts, whereas yesterday and the last few days, really, we've been waking up with widespread upper 50s and low 60s. We're seeing more in the way of the mid to upper 60s.

But some of the inland area is still very cool, with 60 degrees in Margate, 61 in Davie, 69 in Fort Lauderdale, 66 in Hollywood. And Miami-Dade County also seeing 69 in Miami Beach, 66 in Pinecrest, 61 in the Gables, 64 in Miami, 60 in Kendall, the low 70s down through the Keys.

And we are seeing the 60s stretching from the Southeast all the way up through parts of the Midwest. 40s and 50s to the Northeast, New England areas. 29 in Bismarck, 45 in Denver, 56 in Los Angeles, 41 in Seattle. The Pacific Northwest dealing with a storm system that stretches through the Rockies.

And then of course, you'll notice this big swirl, this counterclockwise rotation, this low-pressure system that is still causing trouble here across parts of the Southeast. And in fact, there is a marginal risk of severe storms stretching from the Gulf Coast states all the way up through the southern Great Lakes as we head in throughout the day today.

But here in South Florida, we're going to be in for another fantastic afternoon, as highs will climb to the low 80s, the humidity is still relatively low, and lots of sunshine to go around. So you need those sunglasses, the sunblock. The UV index is very high.

If you're headed to the beach, maybe getting an early start to the weekend or just visiting from out of town, there is a slight risk of rip currents. And for boaters, there are no advisories. Winds southeast, about 5 to 10 knots, seas one to two, with a light chop on the bays.

Our sun setting at 7:41 PM. And tonight will be pleasant, upper 60s along the coast, low 60s inland. So it will still be a cool morning tomorrow to kick off your Friday. And the highs will be in the low 80s. But notice how, as we head into the weekend, the heat and the humidity returning. 86 on Saturday, looking to be the better day of the weekend.

Because Sunday, the rain chance is going to be increasing. We'll see the potential for showers and maybe a few storms. And highs will be soaring to around 88, even in through Monday remaining unsettled, with a mix of sun and storms. And we could see spotty showers on Tuesday.
