CDC Director was ‘unflinching’ in analysis of pandemic failures, FDA commissioner says

Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner and CNBC contributor says the CDC is on the right path in identifying and addressing a number of issues ranging from how it analyzes and shares data to how it communicates information to the public. “The agency has long suffered from the fact that it has a very academic culture,” Gottlieb says. Adding that the CDC should refine it’s messaging when dealing with multiple public health challenges and shift its focus back to tackling the spread of disease.
