CDC to 'reset' amid criticism of agency's COVID-19, monkeypox response

Cases and hospitalizations dip

New reported COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations dropped in Iowa this week to their lowest points in more than a month, according to data released Wednesday.

  • Confirmed cases: 832,937, an increase of 4,921

  • Deaths: 9,882, an increase of 32

  • Hospitalizations: 244, down from 323 one week ago

  • Patients in intensive care: 27, down from 32
