CDT now accepting applications for our 2024 summer internship program. How to apply

The Centre Daily Times is looking for a talented emerging journalist to join us for summer 2024, with the application period now open for our internship program.

As a CDT intern, you will feel like any other member of our reporting team. You’ll be working a general assignment beat, and that means no two days will look alike. From covering events at Penn State to heading to breaking news scenes and digging into issues that affect residents across Centre County, we want to give you a variety of opportunities and experiences as a journalist.

You’ll work with your editor and other CDT journalists to develop ideas, write stories and take photos and videos. We’ll also work together on SEO and the best ways to promote your stories so they reach the largest audience possible.

Our interns have the opportunity to learn not only from CDT journalists, but from others across McClatchy’s other newsrooms that will allow you to make invaluable connections as you start your career.
