Cedar Bluff woman dies in crash on Alabama Highway 9

A Cherokee County woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday near Cedar Bluff, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division.

Clair M. Bryant, 22, of Cedar Bluff, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at about 9:19 a.m. Wednesday on Alabama Highway 9 near Cherokee County Road 80, about 3 miles north of Cedar Bluff.

The 2008 Jeep Cherokee Bryant was driving collided head-on with a 2020 Dodge Durango driven by Taleena L. Kelley, 53, of Cave Spring, Georgia. Kelley was injured and was transported to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.

State troopers continue to investigate the crash.
