This week, we've got Cinco de Mayo specials to check out around Taunton, as well as local restaurants where you can grab some Mexican fare. Plus, paint nights, Bike Nights, and some seasonal offerings:

Places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Taunton

Friday is Cinco de Mayo, commemorating Mexico’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. If you’re in Taunton, there are lots of local places to find Mexican cuisine, for Cinco de Mayo and any other day you’d like to pay them a visit:

There’s Sol de Mexico at 1013 County St.; El Mariachi at 43 Taunton Green; Hometown’s Tacos Locos at 264 Broadway; Christina’s Cantina at 3 Cape Rd.; and Los Jefes: Comida at 71 Broadway.

Burrito Bowl To-Go, 342 Winthrop St., is offering discounts on Cinco de Mayo. They’ve got $8 quesadillas, tacos for $2.99, and burritos for $8.99.

A couple of local Portuguese restaurants are also offering Cinco de Mayo specials. Taunton Eagles, 29 Oak St., will be having food and drink specials for the occasion. The Pearl, 76 Weir St., will also have food and drink specials, as well as live music on the patio, with KG Express.

Wood pallet paint night at The Ugly Duckling

Ready to test your skills as an artist? No pressure, it’s just fun. The Ugly Duckling Restaurant & Bar, 47 Weir St., is hosting a wood pallet paint night on Wednesday, May 10, at 7 p.m. Paint a cute design on a 16x8 pallet, step by step. Tickets are $35 per person. Bike Nights at Star Drive-In

Bike Nights are back! The Star Drive-In, 205 Myricks St., East Taunton, is holding Bike Nights on the first Thursday of each month, starting May 4. Hosted by Soldiers of The Cross of The Christian Motorcyclist Association Chapter 950, of Middleboro, Bike Nights are a few hours of food, ice cream, and more, with riders showing off their motorcycles and visitors stopping by to check them out.

Summer drinks at Tropical Llama

Summer is on the way, and whether you are happy about that or eyeing the prospect with dread, odds are you will need something refreshing to drink. Tropical Llama, 1470 New State Highway, Raynham, is already serving up some natural juices, ahead of the heat. Flavors include lemonade, Paradise Blend, passionfruit, and Llama Punch.

Dicky’s Clam Shack Two open for season
