Celebrate Local will showcase more than 40 West Alabama businesses

More than 40 retailers and vendors from across West Alabama will showcase their products during Celebrate Local in Tuscaloosa.

The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will host the sixth annual event from 11:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Tuscaloosa River Market, 1900 Jack Warner Parkway.

The event will be free and open to the public.

Attendees can shop for a variety of items including clothing, jewelry, home décor, art, gifts and more. Several restaurants will also be on hand to offer samples of their most popular entrees.

“We’re fortunate to have a wide variety of restaurants, retailers and boutiques in our community, and we’d like to invite everyone to come by and see what West Alabama has to offer,” said Alicia Gregory, who serves as the Chamber's senior director of programs and operations.

Organizers say Celebrate Local is a great way to learn more about what the West Alabama community has to offer since it encourages people to think local first when it comes to shopping.

Attendees will receive a Celebrate Local tote bag at the door, which they can then use when visiting at vendor booths. Vendors will also have a variety of giveaway items for Celebrate Local attendees.

The businesses participating in Celebrate Local range from new ones, such as Druid City Makerspace and Strange Brew Coffeehouse, to established businesses such as Bryant Bank and Buffalo Rock/Pepsi
