Celebrate National Cinema Day with $3 movie tickets at these Monroe movie theaters

National "days" on the calendar are a dime a dozen. Well, movie lovers can get excited because the inaugural National Cinema Day has been announced by the Cinema Foundation for September 3, 2022, and movie theaters across the U.S. are celebrating with $3 tickets.

Labor Day weekend is notoriously slow at the movie theaters and after the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 many movie theaters have had trouble bouncing back. This new national holiday is in response to the news that the Cineworld chain that owns Regal Cinemas may be filing for bankruptcy.

Going to the movies can get expensive when you add in taxes and snacks, but now on National Cinema Day you can get movie tickets for a flat $3 rate including IMAX and XD specialty screenings and here are the theaters in Monroe participating.

Cinemark and other theaters are participating in the National Cinema Day special.
