The Abilene Zoo will be getting into the holiday spirit for a full week starting Friday, with daily celebrations from 4-9 p.m. through Thursday.
Activities include a live nativity, lighted holiday displays, ice skating and visits with Santa's reindeer, as well as nightly Christmas tree lightings at 6.
General admission is $15, or free for children age 2 and younger accompanied by an adult. For tickets or information, go to abilenezoo.org.
United Way of Abilene's Winter Lightfest, a walking tour of lighted Christmas displays, will be open from 6-10 p.m. Friday through Thursday, and on Dec. 26, at 2250 E.N. 10th St.
Adult tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the gate; tickets for ages 3-18 are $7 in advance or $10 at the gate. For tickets or information, go to unitedwayabilene.org/winterlightfest.
'A Doublewide, Texas Christmas'
A production of the comedy "A Doublewide, Texas Christmas" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Abilene Community Theatre, 809 Barrow St.

Texas Cowboys' Christmas Ball
ANSON — The 87th Texas Cowboys' Christmas Ball will continue from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday at Pioneer Hall in Anson, with Jake Hooker performing Friday and Jody Nix on Saturday.

Safety City Christmas
The Abilene Fire Department and the city of Abilene will present Christmas tours of Safety City, at 2601 S. Seventh St., from 6-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Refreshments will be served, and Santa will be present.
'Posada en el Barrio'
A "Posada en el Barrio" festival will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Drive.
Mariachi and Ballett Folklorico will perform, and piñatas and vendors will be available.
Christmas at the library
► A free showing of "Jingle All the Way" will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Abilene Public Library, 202 Cedar St. A crafting activity be provided.
► A free showing of "Elf" will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mockingbird Lane branch of the Abilene Public Library, 1326 N. Mockingbird Lane.
