New Year’s celebrations on the Western Slope

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — If you’re looking to celebrate New Year’s on the Western Slope, there are plenty of options. Take a look at some of the local places holding celebrations below.

Mesa Theater

Mesa Theater at 538 Main Street is holding a New Year’s Eve disco ball. Doors for the “Gimme Gimme Disco” event open at 7 p.m. and the event starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $25 when purchased in advance, and $30 on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased here.

Warehouse25sixty-five Kitchen and Bar

The “Dueling Pianos Rockin New Year’s Eve” event is a black-tie affair. The event is 21+ and features a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 7 p.m. at 2656 American Way and music starts at 8 p.m.

Standing room tickets are $20 and can be booked in advance here. Ticket sales end the day of the event – December 31.

Mama Ree’s

Mama Ree’s is hosting a Roaring 20s-themed New Year’s party. The event, which will have free champagne at midnight, is free to attend and begins at 9 p.m.

Avalon Theatre

High Desert Opera is putting on three performances of Always, Patsy Cline at the Avalon Theatre on New Year’s weekend. The Friday and Sunday performances start at 7:30 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The Saturday show starts at 1:30 p.m. with doors opening at 12:30 p.m.

Whitewater Hill Vineyards and Winery

Whitewater Hill’s “Cleanse it With Fire” New Year’s Eve bonfire party invites you to bring anything you’d like to leave in 2023 to burn at the bonfire.

The event, which is free to attend, starts at 4 p.m. and will have an $8 mulled wine special. The vineyard is at 220 32 Road in Grand Junction.

Good Judy’s

Good Judy’s “Judywood” New Year’s Eve party is a 21+ Hollywood-themed event. Attendees are encouraged to channel their favorite era of Hollywood fashion.

The party starts at 8 p.m. at 103 North 1st Street. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased here.

Orchard Mesa Crusiers

Orchard Mesa Crusier’s New Year’s Eve party starts at 9 p.m. and ends at 1:45 a.m. The event is free to attend and will be held at 2692 Highway 50.

Scallywags Bar and Grill

Scallywags Bar and Grill is hosting a karaoke night from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at 509 28 1/2 Road. The event is free to attend.

Powderhorn Mountain Resort

Powderhorn Resort will be celebrating the new year from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a torchlight parade and fireworks from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort

Crested Butte Resort will hold its torchlight parade and fireworks show from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
