Celebrities Kept Things Elegantly Simple This Week

A mid-awards-season palate cleanser perhaps?

Sometimes, bright colors, intricate patterns and bold embellishments aren't necessary to serve a proper look, and this is something stars seemed set on proving this week. At a wide array of events, from the men's shows in Paris, to a Vogue conference in Berlin, to a movie premiere in Scotland, well-dressed men and women like Alexa Chung, Timothée Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, Rosamund Pike and more kept things simple and subdued.

Still, Chung's white suit, Chalamet's casual black sweatshirt and jeans, Ronan's blush Dior gown and Pike's black-and-white Givenchy were all undeniably chic looks that felt refreshing in their simplicity. Meghan Markle, Kate Moss and Sarah Paulson were also among the stars who chose understated, monochromatic looks that still packed a punch. Perhaps in the midst of awards season, everyone needed a little palate cleanser.
