What Will Be 2016′s Yeezy?

It’s hard to believe that Kanye West’s Yeezy 750 Boosts only debuted in February. As of Dec. 29, four colorways of the Yeezy Boost 350s and two of the 750s will have been released, causing complete chaos as fans and sneakerheads continue to attempt to get their hands on the coveted sneakers.

While a limited number of pairs of the sneakers are available each release, celebrities haven’t had a problem getting them. Everyone from Gigi and Bella Hadid to Calvin Harris to Travis Scott have worn the 350s.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan, of course, has easy access to the shoes, thanks to Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West. Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian often sport the sneakers while out in Los Angeles.

At the Yeezy Season 2 show at New York Fashion Week in September, Fabolous, 2 Chainz, Tyga, Lorde and Miguel all arrived wearing black 350s. At Paris FashionWeek, Alexander Wang took a bow at his final show for Balenciaga wearing black Yeezys.

In recognition of the unprecedented demand the sneakers have garnered, Footwear News honored Kanye West with “Shoe of the Year” award at the FN Achievement Awards in early December.
David and Victoria Beckham’s 16-year-old son Brooklyn has an impressive collection of Yeezys. It seems he has almost every color and often shows them off on Instagram.

Perhaps the most famous celebrity yet to receive a pair of Yeezys from West is President Obama. Kim Kardashian West posted a photo on Instagram of boxes containing 350s and 750s with notes on them that read, “Obama.” West also recently created specially-made pairs for his daughter North.

Kendall Jenner and Corey Gamble have both been spotted in the tan pair of 350s, which are releasing Dec. 29. FN rounded up a full list of the select retailers carrying the sneakers. Adidas briefly opened its Confirmed app last week to allow customers in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York reserve a pair. Demand was so high that the app closed within 10 minutes. Many retailers carrying the sneakers are running raffles for a chance to purchase a pair.
