Celebrity Hunted spoilers follow.

Tonight (March 28), Channel 4 aired a new episode of the reality show Celebrity Hunted for Stand Up to Cancer. However, there was one celebrity missing.

As five celebrity pairs began their escape from Shrewsbury prison, former Coronation Street actress Nicola Thorp revealed that her Celebrity Hunted partner and fiancé Nikesh Patel had COVID, so she would be starting the show on her own.

This year's line-up of celebrity pairs includes comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones and Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller, TV therapists Nik and Eva Speakman, YouTube star Saffron Barker and broadcaster Bobby Seagull, and Nicola and The Devil's Hour actor Nikesh.

The celeb pairs must attempt to evade the watchful eyes of skilled hunters armed with CCTV cameras and a helicopter.

Following the prison escape — and with the hunters already on their tail — Katya and Aimee chose a Vespa and sidecar for their initial getaway vehicle. Meanwhile, Nik and Eva chose a tandem bike.

Ed and James opted to hide in a local restaurant, where they made a daring move to enjoy a six-course tasting menu.

Later, Nicola opened up about embarking on the adventure without her fiancé as she prepared to sleep in Blackpool tower.

"I'm feeling a bit emotional, I miss Nikesh. I can't wait for him to just be here," she said.

"He's got COVID. Hopefully he'll be better soon, testing negative and turning up to join me on the run."

She then arranged for Nikesh to join her in a secret location in the Lake District, where he would become the 10th fugitive.

When Nikesh used his bank card to purchase a train ticket, the hunters quickly tracked him to Euston train station, and the episode ended on a cliffhanger.
