Armstead is a regular to Kings games, a local-born and raised football star who played at Pleasant Grove High and with the Oregon Ducks before the 49ers drafted him in the first round of the 2015 draft.

Minhaj and Kings owner Vivek Ranadive exchanged high-fives and hugs at least twice on Sunday, the two sitting at midcourt. Minhaj also high-fived fans seated behind him, usually while waving a towel.

Armstead’s bosses were also at Golden 1: coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch, though both were pulling for the Warriors.

Because Kings fans regard any former King as a celebrity, one-time Sacramento big man Harry Giles received a nice applause.

Also on hand was Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving, who sat across from the Warriors bench. He knows some of these Warriors, such as Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, having hit the dramatic 3-pointer in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, won by Cleveland, which overcame a 3-1 series deficit to win the franchise’s first championship.
