Celtic Woman bringing sounds of Ireland to Montgomery on Saturday

The sounds of Ireland are flowing into Montgomery again Saturday as Celtic Woman returns, touring in support of their latest album.

“It’s called Postcards from Ireland because we wanted to pick songs that really tell a story, and that we can share all over the world like little postcards,” said Megan Walsh, lead soprano for Celtic Woman, in a interview with WISH TV.

Expect a mix of new material and Celtic Woman fan favorites from the Grammy nominated group at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

“We can’t do a show without ‘Danny Boy,’” said Walsh, who described the show as a big spectacle with dancing, beautiful sets, and a live band with Irish instruments.

“And obviously, there’s us four women at the front just giving it our all,” Walsh said. “I think it really is a big spectacle.”

Tickets range from $39 to $150. They’re available online at mpaconline.org or by calling the MPAC box office at 334-481-5100.

“Obviously, we’re doing something right, and we’re just so very, very grateful for it,” Walsh said.
