Celtics Lab 31: What’s wrong with Boston – and who’s to blame?

The Boston Celtics can’t seem to string two wins together in a season they were anticipated to contend for a title, and while that goal might not be off the table just yet, it’s also clear some major changes are in order to stabilize the ship.

With so many factors in play for creating the dissonance in the Celtics’ play in 2020-21, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the problem is — or if the issue is more that there are several. Almost no offseason, a condensed season, a pandemic with few if any fans in stands and COVID-19 and other injuries hampering the roster all factor into the equation.
