Center Grove teacher resigns over allegations of inappropriate student relationship

A Center Grove High School teacher resigned Wednesday following allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Center Grove Community Schools launched an investigation after being notified by Child Protective Services about the alleged relationship, the school district said in a statement.

The name of the teacher has not been released. Once the Center Grove police department was notified about the allegations, the teacher was placed on administrative leave and escorted from the building. During the investigation, the teacher resigned.

The investigation is still ongoing and CGPD is not commenting on any ongoing investigation, the school district said.

“Center Grove takes all reports seriously and encourages anyone with any safety concerns to report that information to an administrator, CGPD, or via our anonymous Safe Schools reporting system," said Center Grove interim superintendent, William Long in a statement.
