Centerville City Schools name new superintendent

Starting next school year, Centerville City Schools will have a new leader for the district.

Jon Wesney will be promoted to superintendent on August 1 by the Centerville Board of Education.

“Mr. Wesney demonstrates the leadership qualities we know are important for our schools, he understands our students’ needs, and he’s involved in our larger community,” said Board President Megan Sparks.

Wesley is currently the Director of Business Operations for Centerville Schools. He oversees district-wide purchasing and the Permanent Improvement Fund.

“I’m excited about this new opportunity in my career, and I’m grateful for the board’s confidence in my ability to lead Centerville Schools,” Wesney said.
