Central Jersey restaurants, businesses give to Housing With Hope Foundation

SCOTCH PLAINS - Several Central Jersey restaurants and businesses donated to the annual holiday dinner of the Housing with Hope Foundation.The mission of the Housing with Hope Foundation, a relatively new nonprofit, is to provide Central Jersey’s isolated senior population with affordable housing and socialization.

Donating food for the foundation's holiday luncheon attended by 75 seniors were Maggiano’s Little Italy in Bridgewater (baked ziti), The Landing in Hillsborough (chicken marsala), Petrock’s Bar and Grill in Hillsborough (baked ham), Legal Seafoods in the Short Hills Mall (clam chowder), Old Man Rafferty’s in Hillsborough (seasonal vegetable medley), Longhorn Steakhouse in Raritan Township and Star Diner in Hillsborough (mashed potatoes), Char Steakhouse in Raritan Borough (mixed green salad), Olive Garden in Bridgewater (breadsticks), Seasons 52 in Bridgewater (desserts), Starbucks in Hillsborough (coffee), Dunkin’ Donuts in Hillsborough (Munchkins), and ShopRite of Branchburg (supplies).

Re/Max InStyle Realty, in Montgomery, donated new hats, scarves, gloves, winter socks, throws, and blankets as holiday. Balloons were provided by Pure Joy Balloons in Cranford. The reception hall was donated by All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Scotch Plains.
