Central Ohio high school football: Frantz, Stevenson tie for predictions title

We have a tie.

After the 16-week high school football season concluded with seven state championship games, Eric Frantz and Jeff Stevenson stood together atop the standings of the ThisWeekSPORTS.com Predictions Panel.

Neither bragged about his performance last week as both went 2-5 to finish 154-56 overall, but it was enough to finish one game better than Steve Blackledge, who went 3-4 last week to finish 153-57.

Scott Gerfen posted a panel-best 5-2 record, including a 2-1 mark in Lone Wolf picks as he took Versailles to beat Kirtland in the Division V final and Carey to beat Coldwater in Division VI. For the season, the staff finished 8-31 on Lone Wolf picks.

Dave Purpura was the only other panelist to finish above .500, going 4-3.

The ThisWeekSPORTS.com staff is completing winter season previews, but everyone is keeping an eye on the 2022 football season. Our annual Friday Night Live Central Ohio High School Football Preview Guide is only nine months away.

We hope you enjoyed the season as much as we did.

See you in the fall!
