The Central Ohio High School Sports Awards show has a new date, but the venue hasn't changed. The event will be held June 15, instead of May 25, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The show is presented by Encova Insurance and produced with the support of Raising Canes and Nationwide Children's Hospital.

During the live show, the Athlete of the Year for each sport will be honored, along with the winners of several premier awards, including Boys Athlete of the Year, Girls Athlete of the Year, Boys Community Engagement Award, Girls Community Engagement Award, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year and Courage Award. Encova Insurance also will present more than 20 scholarships.

We previously announced all of the nominees for fall sports. We will begin revealing the winter nominees next week with the release of the Dispatch All-Metro teams.

Nominated athletes will receive a free ticket to the event thanks to sponsors when they RSVP here. Additional tickets may be purchased on the show’s website.
