The honorees on the ThisWeek Super 12 girls volleyball team prove the best players possess a wide array of skills.

The Captain – the Athlete of the Year in each sport – will be announced at the Central Ohio High School Sports Awards, presented by Encova Insurance, during the live show on June 15 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The show is produced with the support of Raising Canes and Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Nominated athletes will receive a free ticket to the event thanks to sponsors when they RSVP here. Additional tickets may be purchased on the show’s website.

School: Watkins Memorial

Year: Senior

Adelman, who saw time as an opposite hitter, setter and outside hitter, led the Warriors to an 18-7 record and a Division I district runner-up finish.

She was the LCL Player of the Year and first-team all-district, and she finished with 239 kills, a .555 kill percentage, 68 serving aces, 213 digs and 605 assists. Watkins Memorial went a combined 88-12 with Adelman as a key player.

School: Olentangy Orange

Year: Junior

Barron was a veteran presence for a young Pioneers team, leading it to a 15-9 record and a Division I district runner-up finish.

A 6-foot-2 outside hitter/defensive specialist, Barron had a team-high 323 kills to go with 215 digs, 31 aces and 24 blocks. She was third-team all-state and first-team all-district and all-OCC-Central.

School: Hartley

Year: Senior

The Division II district Player of the Year and a first-team all-state honoree for the second consecutive season, Brandewie helped the Hawks to a regional runner-up finish and a 26-2 record.

She had 278 kills, a .629 kill percentage and 97 blocks while leading the way at middle hitter. Also a Super 12 honoree as a junior, Brandewie helped the Hawks go a combined 84-17 during a prep career that also included a state semifinal appearance in 2021.

School: Shekinah Christian

Year: Sophomore

Campagna played a crucial role in one of the Flames’ best seasons, recording 577 kills, 389 digs, 89 aces and 29 assists as the team went 23-2 overall and 12-0 in the MOCAL.

Campagna, who led the team in kills and digs, was first-team all-district and all-state. Shekinah Christian lost to Fisher Catholic 25-18, 17-25, 25-21, 25-18 in a Division IV district semifinal.

School: Dublin Coffman

Year: Senior

Durham has made the Super 12 for the second consecutive season. This fall, she also earned first-team all-OCC-Central, all-district and all-state honors as Coffman went 19-7.

An outside hitter, Durham finished with 483 kills, a .436 kill percentage, 175 digs and 402 serves received as the Shamrocks’ season ended with an appearance in a Division I regional semifinal.

School: Watterson

Year: Senior

A first-team all-district and second-team all-state middle hitter, Hoying helped the Eagles go 22-7 and reach a Division I state semifinal for the second time in three seasons.

Hoying, who finished with 383 kills, 51 serving aces, 224 digs and 381 serves received, also helped Watterson win its fifth consecutive district title and go a combined 81-26 during her prep career.

School: Pickerington Central

Year: Junior

An outside hitter, Massey had 334 kills, 55 aces and 216 digs to lead the Tigers to a Division I district runner-up finish.

Massey, a two-time Super 12 honoree, was co-OCC-Buckeye Player of the Year and first-team all-district as Central went 21-5 overall and 10-0 in the league. Massey finished second in the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball Beach Volleyball U19 World Championships in September.

School: Olentangy Liberty

Year: Senior

This setter turned in another impressive season after being the Super 12 Captain last year. She was first-team all-state, district co-Player of the Year and OCC-Central Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Moulton had 670 assists to lead the Patriots and finished second with 43 aces, third with 252 digs and tied for third with 28 blocks. Liberty went 22-5 and was the regional runner-up to Watterson.

School: Big Walnut

Year: Junior

A staple in Big Walnut’s lineup since her freshman year, Ng was first-team all-district and all-league as the Golden Eagles shared the OCC-Capital title with Dublin Scioto for the second consecutive season at 13-1.

An outside hitter, Ng led Big Walnut with 217 digs, tied for the team lead with 250 kills and was second in aces with 50 as the Eagles finished 21-3 overall.

School: Dublin Scioto

Year: Junior

Rothe, a middle hitter, was named OCC-Capital Player of the Year, first-team all-district and second-team all-state. She led the Irish in kills (341) and blocks (80) and was second in digs (198).

Rothe helped Scioto win its fourth consecutive OCC-Capital title, as it tied Big Walnut for first at 13-1, and finished 20-5 overall. Rothe is a two-time Super 12 honoree.

School: Olentangy

Year: Senior

Spohn had a propensity for digging out anything close, often sacrificing her body to keep the ball alive. The libero was third-team all-state, first-team all-district and OCC-Cardinal co-Player of the Year with Dublin Jerome’s Surabhi Srinivasan.

Spohn had 376 digs and 60 aces to lead the Braves, who finished 18-5 and shared the league title with the Celtics, their third in a row.

School: Dublin Jerome

Year: Senior

An outside hitter, Srinivasan helped the Celtics win their first district title, beating Olentangy Orange 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 15-25, 15-9 before losing to Watterson 25-11, 25-23, 25-22 in a regional semifinal to finish 23-3.

Srinivasan was named first-team all-district and honorable mention all-state and shared Player of the Year honors in the OCC-Cardinal with Olentangy’s Jenna Spohn. Jerome tied Olentangy for first in the league at 9-1.
