A week after Boone County produced a handful of thrilling wins, there were only three winners in Week 2.

Rock Bridge and Southern Boone got their first wins of the season, while Centralia beat Hallsville in one of the best games statewide.

Here's what happened around Boone County on Friday night.

Boone County high school Week 2 roundup

Centralia 26, Hallsville 20: A Kyden Wilkerson touchdown with one minute remaining snapped Centralia’s two-game losing streak to Hallsville. During a four-turnover first half, Centralia seized control with a 20-12 halftime lead. Hallsville clawed back with a stalemate of a third quarter. Colton Nichols led Hallsville with 216 yards and two scores on 23 carries; he tied the game midway through the fourth on a 2-point conversion. Nichols was outdone by Wilkerson, who rushed 29 times for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

Capital City 41, Battle 32: A back-and-forth affair that was tied at 26 at halftime swung in the final frame. Two Capital City touchdowns in the fourth quarter were enough to down Battle at home. The Spartans took a 32-26 lead on a 92-yard touchdown run by Justin Goolsby. Goolsby had two rushing touchdowns on the night, and Rickie Dunn also ran for two scores.

Helias 41, Hickman 0: The Kewpies’ offense struggled for a second straight week as Hickman dropped its first Central Missouri Activities Conference game of the season. Korbin Fisher scored two rushing touchdowns in the first half for Helias.

Tolton's James Lee (4) scrambles past Putnam County's Nico Lopez (5) during the Trailblazers' 34-29 loss to Putnam County on Friday night.

Southern Boone 14, Mexico 6: Tristan McKee caught a touchdown and grabbed an interception as the Eagles held off Mexico at home. McKee's score led to a 7-0 halftime lead.
