CFD: Pedestrian killed in crash near University of Cincinnati involving apparent stolen car

A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday afternoon just outside of University of Cincinnati's campus, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.

Around 3:45 p.m., Cincinnati fire crews responded to 2912 Jefferson Ave. for a report of a pedestrian struck.

Personnel found three victims there with varying degrees of injuries. They were transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center, where one of them was pronounced dead.

Fire officials said the vehicle involved appeared to be stolen.

One person was found in the vehicle with minor injuries. Officials said three other suspects fled the scene.

It's not clear Wednesday night whether any arrests were made. Authorities from the responding police district could not immediately be reached.

Cincinnati police are investigating the crash.
