One Tree Hill and Dawson's Creek star Chad Michael Murray is back with new show Sullivan's Crossing, which serves as a reunion with his Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson.

Patterson stars as Sully, the owner of a rural campground named Sullivan's Crossing, while Murray plays his mysterious employee, Cal. The series kicks off when Sully's daughter Maggie comes back to the family business, and she and Cal get off on the wrong foot.

For Murray, the chance to work with a familiar face made things a lot easier for him, as he admitted to TV Line that he still gets nervous walking onto the set of a new project.

"[Working with Scott] was fantastic," he said. "It was one of the things I was very much looking forward to when I came on board.

"It's funny, over the last 20 years, Scott and I have crossed paths, in and out of each other's lives multiple times. He was on a TV series [The Event] with my wife, and then he and I did an independent film [Other People's Children] together, and of course, we still never worked together on that film. We would just see each other at screenings, premieres, whatever it may be.

"Anyway, long story short, I found out that Scott was going to be on board, and when you're an actor and you're going onto a project, I mean, for me anyway, no matter how many times I'm showing up on a project, it's always nerve-wracking. You know, how are your co-stars going to be? What's their style? Who are they, right? Is this going to be turbulent? Is this going to be smooth sailing? Are they easygoing? You just never know.

"And so, when you're walking into an environment where you already know some of the people and you know something about them, it's always much easier."

Similarly, he stated that his character Cal absolutely admires Sully for the "very homey vibe" that he's created with the campground, and wants to follow in his footsteps. Will he eventually warm up to Maggie after calling her stuck up to her face (not knowing who she was)? Time will tell.

Sullivan's Crossing airs on The CW in the US, and aired on Canadian channel CTV earlier this year.
