New chain restaurant with 100 beers on tap opens 1st spot in Sarasota-Bradenton’s UTC
Yard House, known for having more than 100 beers on tap, along with craft cocktails, tacos, burgers, seafood and steaks, served with a helping of rock music, opened Sunday at University Town Center.
The new restaurant at 115 University Town Center Drive is Yard House’s ninth in Florida and 87th nationwide.
Yard House is open for lunch, dinner, happy hour and late-night dining. Happy hour is 3-6 p.m. Monday-Friday with half-price appetizers and $1-$4 off beer, wine and cocktails.
The Yard House food menu has more than 100 made-from-scratch menu items. Favorites include the signature poke nachos, Nashville hot chicken, street tacos and USDA prime burgers.
Gluten-sensitive, vegan and vegetarian options are also available, the company said in a news release.
Each Yard House is built around its bar. The Sarasota restaurant has 110 taps of American craft and import beers, as well as local and regional brands.
“The glass-enclosed keg room showcases hundreds of steel barrels that flow to the bar through an extensive network of beer lines positioned overhead, pouring each beer at a perfect 34-37 degrees,” the company said.
Yard House, which has California roots, is part of the Darden family of restaurants. Other Darden brands include Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze and Eddie V’s.
In total, Darden owns and operate more than 1,850 restaurants.
