Chalktoberfest is Oct. 8-9

Sep. 6—The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art has announced the return of Chalktoberfest, a chalk art and craft beer festival.

Chalktoberfest, Oct. 8-9 on Marietta Square, is a weekend for the whole family to enjoy. Professional chalk artists from across the U.S., Mexico and Europe take bring talents to the Square with 3D and 2D pieces.

Participants can enjoy an afternoon watching the working chalk artists create their masterpieces, listen to local bands performing in Glover Park, support local food trucks and shop arts & craft vendors.

There will also be a Craft Beer Festival on Oct. 8 and a Community Chalk Competition on Oct. 9. The Craft Beer Festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. on West Park Square. Participants can get a souvenir cup and enjoy unlimited samples of over 120 different kinds of brew from dozens of local companies and 25 varieties of wine.
