Challenger leading in Milltown mayoral race too close to call

MILLTOWN – Republican challenger George Murray held a narrow lead over Democratic Mayor Trina Jensen Mehr late Tuesday night.

Murray received 1,014 votes while Mehr had 975, according to unofficial results.

GOP challengers Gary Posnansky and Frank Manco were leading Democratic incumbents Margaret O'Donnell and Joseph Pietanza for the Borough Council.

Posnansky received 1,056 votes, Manco received 1,015, O'Donnell had 930 and Pietanza got 936.

The results are unofficial until all the absentee and provisional ballots are counted.
