ROCHESTER — Eversource and Meredith Village Savings Bank will be underwriting the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 “Sunset Wine & Dine” Annual Awards Celebration. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Oaks Grandview Ballroom at 100 Hide-Away Place in Somersworth.

The Annual Awards Celebration will feature an elegant selection of hors d’oeuvres, dinner, entertainment, and the announcement of the 2023 Business of the Year, 2023 Nonprofit of the Year and 2023 Citizen of the Year award recipients. The Chamber will also conduct a Grand Prize Raffle drawing for a $1,500 cash prize, sponsored by First Seacoast Bank.

Earth Eagle Brewings' homebrew supply shop has moved Somersworth

SOMERSWORTH — Earth Eagle Brewings recently moved its longtime homebrew supply shop to Somersworth from the original Portsmouth location. The new shop space is located in Barclay Square (350 NH-108) next to Earth Eagle North, the brewery's manufacturing facility and second brewpub.

Customers will find a wide array of equipment and ingredients for brewing beer at home, plus winemaking and cheesemaking supplies. For those with a kegerator at home, the shop provides CO2 cylinder exchanges, parts, and specialized cleaning agents.

The former shop space in Portsmouth, which connects to the original Earth Eagle brewpub, will house an expansion of the brewery's dining and bar seating. Expected to open in June, it will also feature a wide range of brewery merchandise and four-packs to go.

This year’s Chamber Raffle event with the Hawaiian theme of “Hula & Moola”, underwritten by D.F. Richard Energy, is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 11, at The Elks Lodge #1393 in Rochester from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets, sponsored by Service Credit Union, are currently on sale for a chance to win $10,000 or a 2023 Harley-Davidson FXBBS Street Bob motorcycle. You are invited to get your ticket early to be entered into the Early Bird Raffle.

Only 350 tickets will be sold at $100 each. The winners of the Grand Prize, runner-up prizes and second chance prizes do not have to be present to win. Newburyport Bank Donates $4,000 to Exeter Hospital Cancer Center Opening

NEWBURYPORT, Mass. – Newburyport Bank has donated $4,000 to Exeter Hospital in support of Survivors Day and the Falzone Center for Cancer Care Opening Celebration. This event will take place on Sunday, June 4, at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, N.H.

The new Michael and Jeanne Falzone Center for Cancer Care provides cancer patients and their families with comprehensive, inpatient and outpatient oncology services in partnership with the nationally recognized Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.

Newburyport Bank Donates $2,400 to SCORE Seacoast

NEWBURYPORT, Mass. – Newburyport Bank has made a $2,400 donation to help further the work of SCORE Seacoast located in Portsmouth, N.H.

Since 1964, SCORE has educated and mentored more than 11 million small business owners and entrepreneurs. They provide free and confidential one-on-one business counseling by video conference, phone, email and in-person in New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and Northern Massachusetts. They also conduct workshops for both start-up entrepreneurs and seasoned small business owners.
