Champion Xpress Carwash opens at Santa Fe Place mall

Mar. 27—Lubbock, Texas-based Champion Xpress Carwash opened a location March 22 near the Santa Fe Place mall entrance at Rodeo Road and Zafarano Drive.

The car wash at 4110 Rodeo Road is offering free top washes and ceramic wax to all customers through April 5, the company announced in a news release. The company also touted its water reclaim system, which it said filters and cleans the water used to reduce water use by up to 70%.

Champion Xpress was established in 2015 by the Merchant Family Companies, which also has the 7B Building & Development construction company that is the general contractor for the Santa Fe car wash.

Champion has 27 locations in several states, with 17 in New Mexico — eight in Albuquerque, two in Gallup, and others in Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Española, Las Vegas, Los Lunas, Silver City and Taos. It has plans for 28 more car washes.

The new location is open every day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
