In 1962, Ferrari unveiled what has become regarded as one of the most beautiful Grand Touring cars of all time.

The Ferrari 250 GT/Ls stunning body work was the result of a coming together between Pininfarina and Scaglietti, representing some of both companies best work. An all new interior featured a revised dash panel with a high quality leather upholstery throughout. With plenty of room for driver and passenger, the interior was designed with comfort and style in mind. Under the hood, Ferrari’s Tipo 168 U engine was the result of over a decade of development based on the Colombo 3.0-liter V12 engine. Like the extremely successful 250 Testa Rossa and California Spider models, the Lusso featured outside-plug ignition and single-cylinder porting. Suspension and chassis components included four-wheel disc brakes and coil-over shocks at all four corners as well as a rear Watts linkage.

In all, only 350 examples of this fantastic car were made over the course of two years and number 65 is currently up for grabs. This particular 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso was originally produced for the Italian market where it sold to its first owner. After that it was exported to France and eventually Switzerland.

At some point the car was restored and repainted red over black but as of at least 2011 it has been wearing its original color scheme of Grigio Argento over Nero Franzi and carries a Ferrari Classiche certification. This stunning Ferrari is set to be auctioned on June 15, 2021 in Italy by RM Sotheby’s and is set to fetch between €1.4-million - €1.8-million. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to add one of the most desirable Ferraris ever to your collection.
