A chance of rain and snow Monday, then clear conditions, cold temps continue the rest of the week

It's more of the same for weather around Greater Cincinnati this week: cold temperatures and a chance of rain and snow on Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, another Alberta clipper will move through the area on Monday bringing light snow, mainly between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Some snow may linger into the late afternoon and early evening.

An Alberta clipper is a fast-moving low-pressure system that moves out of the Province of Alberta in southwest Canada through the Plains, Midwest, and Great Lakes region, according to the National Weather Service. This system is usually accompanied by light snow, strong winds, and colder temperatures.

The greatest amounts of snow will be along and north of the I-70 corridor, and it could create some slick conditions on the roadways.

Around Cincinnati, there is a chance of snow showers before 1 p.m., a slight chance of rain and snow between 1-2 p.m. and a chance of rain after 2 p.m.

Overnight, there is a chance of showers, mainly before 10 p.m.

The rest of the week is so far predicted to be clear, with highs mainly in the upper 20s to 30s during the day and lows in the single digits or teens overnight.
