Central Wisconsin could see severe thunderstorms tonight.

Large swaths of central Wisconsin could see severe thunderstorms beginning at 5 p.m. and lasting through tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Green Bay.

Although there's a chance for an isolated tornado, the main concern is the chance for damaging winds and large hail. It's likely that central Wisconsin will be under a storm watch tonight, the National Weather Service said. Residents should also be on the lookout for heavy rain and possible flooding.

As of this morning, the highs on Thursday are expected to reach the low 70s. Later in the evening, the chance of precipitation ranges from 60% to 90%.

A cold front is expected to move through the region Friday, bringing cooler weather for the weekend. The highs Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the 50s, according to the weather service.
