Chanel emerges most tweeted brand of PFW

On Twitter, Chanel was the most mentioned brand of Paris fashion week.

Fashion week has just come to a close in the French capital, which means the style commentary is finally starting to wind down on Twitter. Over the week of runway shows, the French label fronted by Karl Lagerfeld was the most mentioned brand on Twitter, thanks perhaps to its irreverent runway protest march.

Christian Dior follows in second place with its retro-futuristic runway presentation. Next in the ranking is Balenciaga, with its edgy new collection, followed by Vuitton, which pulled out all the stops for its show at the new Fondation LVMH building. Finally, Givenchy landed in fifth place with its sexy gladiator styles.

The ranking was established by Topsy Pro, which referenced tweets containing the name of the brands or related hashtags, as well as tweets from the official Twitter accounts of the brands, between September 23 and October 1.
