Two Big Ten teams in desperate need of a win will meet Thursday night at Value City Arena.

Three days into 2023, Wisconsin was sitting at 11-2 overall and 3-0 in Big Ten play after a 63-60 home win against Minnesota. Meanwhile, Ohio State defeated Northwestern 73-57 on New Year's Day to improve to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten.

Since then, it's been a lot of misery for the Badgers and Buckeyes. Wisconsin has sandwiched two three-game losing streaks around a 63-60 home win against Penn State on Jan. 17 and is now 12-5 overall and 4-6 in the league. Ohio State, meanwhile, has lost seven of its last eight games including a stretch of five consecutive losses all by single digits to fall to 11-10 overall and 3-7 in Big Ten play.

Ohio State's last win was a 93-77 home victory against Iowa on Jan. 21. This is the first game in a stretch that will see the Buckeyes play three of their next four at home.
