Wisconsin, the No. 12 seed, is 17-13 overall and 9-11 in the Big Ten. The Badgers remain on the NCAA Tournament bubble and need a win to keep their hopes alive while the Buckeyes, who have won two of their last three games after losing 14 of 15, are playing for pride and the chance to be spoilers.
Ohio State's only chance of playing in March Madness lies with the auto-bid awarded to the tournament champion. No team that has played on Wednesday of the Big Ten Tournament since the league expanded to 14 teams in 2014-15 has advanced beyond Friday.
"I’m confident in our positioning right now, especially the way everyone’s playing together," captain and sixth-year forward Justice Sueing said after Saturday's 84-78 loss at Michigan State. "Our mentality, our process, getting ready for games, we’re stepping on the floor expecting to win. It’s a thing we have with our walk, how we’re expected to play. Play Buckeye basketball. We’re going in there ready to get to it."
