It's been nearly a decade since Channing Tatum first sent moviegoers into a frenzy of thirst in the titular role of Magic Mike, and six years since he returned for sequel Magic Mike XXL. But if there were any doubts that the actor has got rusty since he hung up his G-string, he just laid them to rest.

In a series of videos on his Instagram Story, Tatum—who first showed off his impressive dancing skills on-screen in 2006's Step Up—shared with his followers that while he hasn't danced properly in years, he is in the process of getting his groove back.

"So here we go, weekend one of exploring and getting back in the saddle," he said. "I haven't danced in years... And dance has moved on so much since then. I decided to document the exploration so I could see it."

What followed was a handful of clips that prove Tatum has still got it, although at the age of 41, he probably shouldn't be busting any kind of move without stretching first. "Sloppy floor work but was tired," he said. "I'll probably regret in the morning... But life always an explanation... I'm here to tell you that is not true if you want to you can move and hear the music. This is gonna be slow journey but welcome."

While he might have neglected his dancing, Tatum's workouts are another story. He regularly shares updates from his fitness routine, complete with shots of those famous abs, which he will be showing off next in the comedy adventure movie The Lost City of D, in which he will play the Fabio-esque cover star of a popular series of romance novels.
