Chargers HC Brandon Staley provides handful of injury updates

The injury bug bit the Chargers during the loss to the Jaguars. Entering the game, they were already short-handed as they were missing a few key players.

Head coach Brandon Staley provided the status of the ones who didn’t play and those who suffered injuries during the game.

The full list of updates is below:

OT Rashawn Slater

Slater will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his left biceps tendon.

EDGE Joey Bosa

Bosa will be sidelined indefinitely because of a groin injury. Staley said he was uncertain if Bosa would be placed on injured reserve. “He’ll probably be week-to-week,” Staley said.

WR Jalen Guyton

Guyton will be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL late in the fourth quarter.

WR Keenan Allen

Allen has been sidelined for the last two games because of a hamstring injury. Staley expressed optimism that he would return to practice this week.

Staley said Linsley, who was inactive Sunday because of a knee issue, was improving and also expressed optimism that he would return to practice this week.

CB J.C. Jackson

Jackson, who made his debut in Week 2 against the Chiefs, did not play against the Jaguars. Staley said Jackson had “inflammation” inside his ankle but that there was “nothing structural.”

TE Donald Parham

Parham has yet to play this season due to a hamstring issue. Staley said he’s improving and the hope is for him to be back at practice this week.
