Charges dropped against second suspect arrested in connection with deadly Goodlettsville home invasion

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Charges against the second suspect arrested in connection with a deadly Goodlettsville home invasion have been dismissed.

Police said 19-year-old Terry Richardson was taken into custody on Saturday, Jan. 27. An arrest affidavit said a juvenile, who survived after being shot multiple times during the home invasion, identified Richardson as a suspect.

That victim told officers Richardson had been in the apartment earlier in the evening before he came back and opened fire.

Richardson was charged with criminal homicide and was being held in the Metro Jail without bond.

On Monday, Feb. 5, Richardson’s attorney, Nathan Moore, said charges against him had been dropped after upon further investigation, “Mr. Richardson was erroneously identified.”

On Friday, Jan. 19, Goodlettsville police said two people wearing masks and armed with an AR-style weapon allegedly went into an apartment in the 100 block of Robert Cartwright Drive and opened fire on the people inside. Multiple victims were taken to the hospital and treated for gunshot wounds while a male juvenile, identified as Ra’King Hammonds, was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to investigators.
