Nov. 13, 2019: DSW has launched its first-ever DSWGives Do Good pop-up dedicated to giving back this holiday season. The shop features a digital destination as part of a larger campaign encouraging people around the country to Do Good with DSWGives all season. A physical pop-up will be open in New York at 498 Broome St. from Dec. 12-15. Instead of accepting purchases, it will allow visitors the opportunity to experience the positive impact of shoe donations and encourage them to bring new or gently worn shoes to donate, contribute monetarily, as well as get involved with DSWGives. National anti-bullying organization and DSW philanthropic partner Be Strong will also be there to show the power of a kind word to brighten someone’s day and inspire change. Those who are unable to visit the store can experience virtual elements at Dsw.com/philanthropy. In addition, DSW ambassador, actress, and writer Mindy Kaling is kicking off the campaign by hosting a preview event in Los Angeles and will be working with the retailer to encourage people to give back all season through the initiative.

Nov 11, 2019: Vans has partnered with eBay on a Global Ambassador charity auction that culminates on Vans Checkerboard Day on Nov. 21. Fans of the brand will be able to visit ebay.com/vanscheckerboardday today through Nov. 21 to bid on their favorite footwear and backpacks. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Imagination.org, an organization that fosters creativity and entrepreneurship in youth around the world. The auction will include either Vans Classic slip-ons or an Old Skool III backpack from each curator involved. Vans will also donate $1 million in sales made through its owned channels, including Vans retail locations and websites.
