The next big name to join LIV Golf is one with maybe the worst swing in recorded history, reports say.

Charles Barkley has agreed to take part in the pro-am event of the LIV Golf Invitational Bedminster in New Jersey, according to the New York Post.

Barkley had been in talks with the upstart golf league about broadcasting its events. The 11-time NBA All-Star is an avid golf fan — though admittedly not its best player — and is a prominent part of Turner Sports' NBA broadcast.

The report came after the Basketball Hall of Famer met with Greg Norman, who runs the league founded by Saudi Arabia, to join its broadcast team.

Charles Barkley would join David Feherty on the LIV broadcast team

LIV has been adding golfers to its roster for some time, including subig names like Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka, but now the league has turned its attention to the broadcast booth. Last week, longtime NBC Sports and Golf Channel analyst and TV host David Feherty was reportedly joining the LIV team.

Feherty has been with the NBC Sports group in a variety of roles for about seven years. In March, he hosted the World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony that included Tiger Woods.
