  1. The 2022 Charleston Marathon has been canceled due to a surge in positive COVID-19 cases. The marathon was scheduled to be held on Saturday, January 15th. The event will not be rescheduled for 2022. (holycitysinner.com)

  2. A man who was charged with murder in a North Charleston shooting has been arrested in Virginia. Tymel Thomas Jones was arrested after an armed robbery of a grocery store. After his arrest, North Charleston police announced he was charged with murder in relation to a December 9th homicide. (Charleston Post Courier)
