Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove Lights Up Windsor Town Green

WINDSOR, CA — The coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on many things this holiday season but it did not prevent the People4Parks Foundation — and countless volunteers — from putting on the 12th Annual Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove. The lights to the festive holiday display were switched on Thursday night and will continue to illuminate Old Downtown Windsor nightly through New Year's Eve.

The beloved North Bay event features a grove of 200 decorated live trees lining the walkways of the Windsor Town Green, 701 McClelland Drive. Visitors are asked to follow health and safety guidelines; wear their masks and follow a marked, one-way route to gaze at all the sparkly trees decorated by volunteer groups.

Holiday music and twinkling overhead light displays bring even more magic of the season to Old Downtown Windsor.

This year, a new tradition begins: the magic of the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove LIVE! goes virtual as tree lighting videos are released throughout the month of December.

Due to the public health emergency, nightly snowfalls have been postponed but are still in the forecast for future years.

So, start your journey at the northeast corner of the Windsor Town Green near the Windsor Regional Library — 9291 Old Redwood Highway — and experience the magic of over 200 individually themed trees decorated by students, families, local businesses and other groups.
